Key Product Features
O-Ring Sealing Structure
The O-ring beneath the screw head forms a compressed sealing interface against the mating surface during installation.
Pre-Applied Thread Locking
The blue locking patch increases thread friction to help reduce loosening in assemblies exposed to vibration or repeated movement.
Combined Sealing and Anti-Loosening
The screw combines localized sealing and thread retention in one fastener, reducing the need for separate sealing and locking operations.
Phillips Pan Head Design
The cross recessed drive supports convenient installation, while the rounded pan head provides a broad contact area for the O-ring.
Typical Uses
Electronic Enclosures
Suitable for communication devices, control housings and electronic covers requiring both localized sealing and resistance to vibration.
Automotive Electronics
Applicable to modules, sensors, lamp assemblies and interior components, subject to torque and environmental validation.
Industrial Equipment
Used in machine covers, control panels, automation equipment and housings exposed to dust, oil, moisture or vibration.
Precision Instruments
Suitable for measuring devices, testing equipment and compact assemblies requiring controlled fastening.
Household Appliances
Can be used in appliance panels, control components and internal assemblies where vibration may cause ordinary screws to loosen.
Outdoor Devices
Suitable for protective housings and communication equipment when the selected screw material, O-ring and locking patch are compatible with outdoor exposure.
Product Application
Phillips pan head sealing screws with pre-applied thread-locking patches are designed for assemblies requiring both environmental sealing and resistance to vibration-related loosening. The O-ring compresses beneath the screw head to help reduce ingress around the fastening point, while the locking patch creates additional resistance within the mating thread.
The screw, O-ring, locking patch, mating surface and installation torque should be evaluated as one complete fastening system. Patch position and coverage should match the actual thread engagement area to avoid insufficient locking or installation difficulty.
Why Sealing and Thread-Locking Performance May Fail
Incorrect O-Ring Compression
Insufficient tightening may leave gaps beneath the screw head, while excessive compression may flatten, cut or permanently deform the O-ring.
Locking Patch Outside the Engagement Area
If the pre-applied patch does not contact the mating thread, it may provide little or no anti-loosening effect.
Excessive Locking Torque
An oversized or unsuitable locking patch may increase installation torque beyond the acceptable range for the screw or mating component.
Incompatible Materials
The O-ring or thread-locking material may soften, swell, harden or lose performance after exposure to heat, oil, chemicals or outdoor conditions.
Uneven Mating Surface
Burrs, scratches, gaps or surface contamination may interrupt O-ring contact and reduce sealing consistency.
Repeated Installation
Some pre-applied locking materials provide reduced retention after repeated removal and reinstallation. Reusability should be confirmed according to the selected patch material.
