Product Overview

We produce these headless set screws (commonly called grub screws among our US and EU clients) via cold heading process, designed to lock parts in place inside pre-tapped holes. Once fully tightened, the whole screw sits flush under the workpiece surface — no protruding head, no extra space taken, which works perfectly for compact mechanical builds and enclosed device housings.

Every batch runs through thread go/no-go gauge inspection before packing. Threads are clean and burr-free, screw in smoothly without cross-threading, and hold stable locking force even under light vibration in long-running equipment.

Drive & Point Options

We carry all common drive and point styles to fit different assembly tools and use cases:

• Drive types: Hex socket (our top-selling style, works great with pneumatic screwdrivers for high-volume assembly), slotted, torx, external hex head
• Point styles:
  • Cup point: Our highest-volume standard model. Delivers solid holding pressure for regular shaft locking. Most ordered by machinery and pulley manufacturers.
  • Flat point: Spreads pressure evenly, barely leaves marks on soft or finely machined surfaces. Popular with electronic instrument and small device buyers.
  • Cone point: Self-centering design with high locking torque, pairs well with pre-dimpled surfaces for precise positioning. Used mostly in heavy-duty mechanical parts.
  • Dog point: Short cylindrical tip that drops into pre-drilled locating holes, for accurate axial alignment and slip-proof positioning.
  • Nylon tip: Soft nylon pad on the end, no scratches on delicate finished surfaces, plus slight vibration damping. Preferred by optical equipment and precision hardware clients.
  • Ball point / half dog point: For special light-load positioning and curved surface contact jobs.

  • Imperial: 4-40, 6-32, 10-24, 10-32, 1/4-20, 1/4-28, 3/32, 1/2-13
• Length range: 2mm–50mm (metric), 1/8″–2″ (imperial). Non-standard lengths and special thread pitches can be made from your drawings.

Materials & Surface Finishes

Material options are selected to match different working environments:

• SUS304 stainless steel (A2-70): Our most stocked material, good general corrosion resistance. Fits most outdoor cabinets, lighting fixtures and furniture hardware orders.
• SUS316 stainless steel (A4-80): Higher salt spray and chemical resistance. We supply this mostly to coastal construction, marine hardware and chemical equipment clients.
• Brass (H62): Non-magnetic, good conductivity and natural corrosion resistance. Used for electronic terminals, decorative hardware and plumbing fittings.
• Carbon steel (Grade 4.8 / 8.8): High tensile strength at low cost, for indoor mechanical structures and general assembly work.
• Alloy steel (Grade 12.9): High hardness and torque capacity, for heavy-duty load-bearing locking in industrial machinery.

Surface finish options: Plain passivation, clear zinc plating, black oxide, nickel plating, dacromet, PTFE coating, yellow zinc plating.
